TODAY’S WRITING TIP: Meditation helps unleash your creativity. If nothing else, it gives your mind a moment’s rest.

Every now and then disable your senses Release yourself from this world As if through a river mouth A small stream merging with a great ocean Infinite Boundless Timeless You are nothing You are everything As long as you keep your eyes closed Your mind wakeful but disengaged Your senses at rest Your breath flowing through the universe

This is in response to this week’s challenge at Trifecta, where the word prompt is “mouth,” a third definition of which in the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary is “the place where a stream enters a large body of water.”

  1. Yes,the art of detachment leading to introspection & a bit of retrospection-how we all strive to attain that but most lose patience.Wonderfully worded:-)

  2. I’m a believer in meditation. “You are nothing. You are everything.” This theme was a driving force behind my first novel.

My Trifecta entry is a fictional post based on my experiences as a Filipino-American. You might enjoy it. I’m off to check out your book.
